I have gone and done some research on Amazon and found some great types of power toothbrush products that I do hope will help you choose the correct one for you and your family.
Philips Sonicare Essence 5300 Power Toothbrush – On this very poplar toothbrush, I found over 350 customers reveiws of which 240 customers returned a 5 star rating. For me that is impressive. One of the positive reviews stated that it was a lovely product and the best value among the range.
Another reviewer said that the product is a wise investment and would save one time and money at the dentist. Highly recommended.
I have to mention that a the reviewers that give it 1 or 2 star rating, one hated the design and another question her decision on buying the toothbrush, as she felt she was getting more plaque. But overall the reviews for this product were very positive.
The product dimensions are 6.7 x 3.3 x 8.4 inches and weighs 2 pounds. The main features of the product are that it has a soft-grip handle which holds the charge for up to 2 weeks. Brushing Teeth Video
I wonder how long powertoohbrushes have been around back? I remember using them in the 1960s
The other night I saw a TV commercial where a guy in the background was brushing his teeth … and he was just going back and forth from left to right. Doesn’t EVERYONE know that you brush in a circular motion?! What was his mother thinking?
I know it was just a commercial but I think it would have been better if the producers had made sure their actor was setting a good role model for little eyes that may have been watching.
Interesting video … never quite seen toothbrushing explained that way.
I have been looking for a new one. Mine tooth brush died recently and want one for Christmas. Thanks for the article. Very helpful.
good article and nice video to end it of
as the mechanism is falwless! It does the cleaning perfectly with less effort manually.
Great information about this powerbrush. I am getting another one soon so this is helpful.
With 3 children, teeth brushing has always been a major fight with them. Since I bought them electric toothbrushes they actually love to brush! Why didn’t I think of it before? I guess I need one now.
I’ve got got an old regular toothbrush. I think I’m going to invest in an electric, maybe I’ll see better results!
I have had the brush for a while and the heads were wearing out, so i needed to replace them..these replacements are even better than the originals, they have a color indicator that tells you when they are worn out…don’t even think about it, get these!Thank’s,Anna.
I am thinking of buying an electric toothbrush for some time, and I think it’s time I really buy one. As Alan said, maybe I’ll see some better results. I heard of Oral B, but I still can;t decide whether I should buy a Philips or an Oral B toothbrush
Using a power toothbrush combined with a good teeth whitening solution like teeth whitening strips will produce great looking teeth, providing you avoid dark drinks that stain, such as coffee or coke.
Wow great post! Our entire lifestyle has underwent tremendous change over the past few decades as electronics has sprang up to unbelievable heights. But sometimes I do wonder if that hi-tech power toothbrush on display is really better than the regular ones? I feel that it might make a simple task like brushing teeth more complex.
My parents still use their electric toothbrushes from the 70s. That is pretty awesome
well now a days modern electric toothbrushes run on low voltage, 12v or less. A few units use a step-down transformer to power the brush, but most use a battery, usually but not always rechargeable and non-replaceable, in the handle. Electric toothbrushes are hermetically sealed to prevent water damage. While early NiCad battery toothbrushes used metal tabs to connect with the charging base, modern toothbrushes use contactless inductive charging: the brush unit and charger stand each contain a coil of wire; when placed in proximity, the powered coil from the stand transfers power by induction to the handle, charging the battery.
I really don’t know which one is the best but I know that for those of us who could use a little encouragement to keep brushing past the one-minute mark, experts say electric toothbrushes are worth the investment. They’re also good for folks who have restricted use of their hands or arms, and for children who might be motivated to brush longer with a fun-to-use electric brush.
I have tried the Sonicare FlexCare Plus. It has a contoured brush head which help you improve your gum health within two weeks and zaps chronic gum diseases such as gingivitis. Philips has patented their sonic technology which specializes in stimulating your gums, making it really gum-specific. I like the different modes to choose from as there are times when I want extra cleaning, I would automatically switch to the ‘Refresh’ mode and sometimes I’d like to give my gums and teeth a nice treat with the ‘Massage’ mode.
Although it does not have a ton of extra features or accessories, the Essence 5300 makes good use of the ones it does have. The two-minute timer beeps every 30 seconds so that you can evenly brush all your teeth. It’s also a good electric toothbrush to take when traveling, since it’s easy to pack it in the included travel case. Also, since it holds charge for up to 2 weeks, you won’t have to pack the charger base unless you’re away for extended periods of time.
“If you have never used electric toothbrush, in the beginning using Philips Sonicare Essence 5300 power toothbrush can be unusual experience. The toothbrush vibrates more than 31000 times per minute, and this vibration can cause funny feelings, starting from slight tingling up to a jackhammer rattling the skull for more sensitive person.
When you start using Sonicare Essence 5300, it will brush using minimum power, and the power will automatically increase every time you brush. The full brushing power will be reached after first 12 brushings. If you are comfortable using sonic toothbrushes, you can turn this Easy-start function off.”
i liked the video…..will show this video to my children…i believe that, a good habit always starts from your childhood…as you grow older…you face more problems if you don’t follow things regularly. anyways gr8 video to share…
